An ebook for women 45 and over
Two workouts a week. Strength that shows up in your actual life.
Most plans assume you recover the same way every week. In menopause you do not. This book builds two full-body workouts around your sleep, energy, soreness and hot flashes, so a rough week changes the dose instead of ending the plan.

a week
real progress
The problem
Your body did not get weaker. Your recovery stopped being predictable.
You wake up drained after a bad night, drag yourself through the session anyway, and pay for it with three days of soreness.
It feels like your body is working against you. It is not, and it is not your discipline either. The old rule set of more days, more soreness and more pushing through was written for a body that recovered the same way every week. Yours does not anymore.
So one rough stretch becomes a skipped week, the skipped week becomes starting over, and a single missed session starts to feel like proof that your strength is slipping away.
- Patchy sleep
- Soreness that lingers
- Hot flashes
- Energy that swings
How the book works
One check before each workout decides the session.
Before you train, you read four signals: sleep, energy, soreness and hot flashes. Then you name the color. Green, yellow or red tells you whether to train as planned, trim the work, or protect your recovery, and you act on it without bargaining.
Red
Recovery-focused movement
A brisk walk, gentle mobility or an easy bodyweight pattern. The routine stays alive and your next real session stays protected.
Yellow
Same patterns, smaller dose
One or two signals are off. You keep every movement and trim one thing: the load, a set, the intensity or the variation.
Green
The workout you planned
The signals are manageable, so you train the planned sets with intent and put your attention on clean reps.
Inside the book
What you are actually buying
Seven short chapters, each built around one decision, plus two bonus tools at the back. A 64-page PDF. No app, no subscription.

- 1
Your real starting point
Measure the body you have today: a baseline across all six movement patterns, and a readiness note before every workout.
- 2
Two days can be enough
Why two full-body sessions, spaced well apart, beat a crowded week you cannot repeat.
- 3
When readiness changes the plan
The traffic light system: sleep, energy, soreness and hot flashes decide green, yellow or red before you touch a weight.
- 4
The first session builds stable strength
Squat, push, pull and brace, organized around control, with a warm-up that prepares you instead of draining you.
- 5
Strength that carries into daily life
The second session: hinge, carry, pull and brace, for groceries, stairs and getting up off the floor.
- 6
Progress is more than a heavier weight
A five-step check for when to add a rep, when to add load, and when to hold steady.
- 7
A strong routine that can bend
Deloads, exercise swaps and recovery sessions for the weeks that stop cooperating, and how to come back without overdoing it.
Two bonuses at the back: a Two Workout Planning Checklist for setting up each week, and a Strength and Recovery Tracking Worksheet with filled-in examples.
The six movements
Everything in the book trains one of these six things
They are not exercises. They are the patterns your day already asks of you.
Push
Shoving a heavy door shut. Pressing yourself up off the floor.
Pull
Undoing years of rounding forward over a phone or a steering wheel.
Squat
Taking the stairs, and standing up from a low chair without your hands.
Hinge
Picking up a tote without asking your lower back to improvise.
Carry
Grocery bags, laundry baskets, and that awkward second trip from the car.
Brace
Reaching with one hand, or turning while you hold something heavy.
Who it is for
Written for three women in particular
You manage a demanding life on broken sleep
Two sessions a week is the only honest answer, and this book is built around that limit rather than apologizing for it.
You tried the intense routine and it broke you
It left you sore for days and you quit. This one adjusts to the day you are having instead of punishing you for it.
You are thinking about ten years from now
You are not chasing a number on a scale. You want to still carry your own suitcase at sixty-five.
Why this book exists
I stopped fighting my body and wrote down what worked instead
A few years ago the workouts that kept me fit in my thirties started flattening me. I would wake up wrung out from night sweats, go anyway, and get nothing back but soreness that lasted days. The industry had one answer: push harder.
The morning I struggled to carry a single bag of potting soil across my own garden, I sat down on the porch and understood I was going to lose my independence before fifty if I kept following advice written for twenty-five-year-olds.
So I stopped following the schedule and started reading the signals: sleep, soreness, energy. Two full-body sessions a week across six movement patterns, scaled to the day I actually had. My energy came back, my joints stopped aching, my strength went up. This book is that method, written down.

Questions
Before you buy
I am already exhausted. How do I start anything?
On a red day the book does not ask you to train hard. You switch to recovery-focused movement, like a walk or gentle mobility, so the habit survives without spending energy you do not have. Making that call before you start is what the readiness check is for.
Can I really get stronger on two days a week?
Yes, if the two sessions are built well. Two focused full-body workouts, spaced far enough apart that the second is not built on fatigue from the first, cover all six movement patterns every week. The book's case is that better-chosen training beats more training.
I am afraid of getting hurt or lifting too heavy.
You start from a baseline of what you can repeat safely, not from what you used to lift. Every pattern has easier variations and planned swaps, such as a box squat for a split squat or an incline press for an overhead press, and a set ends while the movement still looks right.
Do I need a gym membership or special equipment?
No membership. Every pattern has a dumbbell or bodyweight version, such as a goblet squat, a dumbbell row, a Romanian deadlift or a farmer carry, so a few dumbbells at home will do. If you train at a gym, the cable and machine options in the book work there too.
How will I know it is working if the weights do not go up?
Progress in this book is more than a heavier weight. One more controlled rep, steadier balance, a cleaner hinge, lower effort at the same load, or an easier recovery all count, and the tracking worksheet is built to catch them. You compare everything against your baseline at the end of an eight-week block.
What if my symptoms flare up in the middle of the eight weeks?
You drop to yellow or red and carry on. The last chapter covers deloads, exercise swaps and recovery sessions, and how to come back from a rough week starting from the last version you did well, not by overdoing the next session.
What exactly do I get?
